ABOUT ME đŸ¡² I discovered my passion for digital art when I was around 14 years old, after seeing 3D rendered fanart of an airship from Final Fantasy. Prior to that discovery, and despite people in my life telling me I was creative, I never had much success putting that creativity to paper. Digital art was the first type of art that really spoke to me, that seemed to 'click' in a way nothing else did. It had a profound effect on me at a difficult time in my childhood, and I distracted myself from it by diving into the world of 3D modeling, teaching myself with online tutorials. Later, I joined an online community called ModDB, where I spent a few years working with and learning as much as I could from several talented people.
Along the way I was forced to branch out from 3D modeling to take on other roles as needed—illustration, animation, web design, video editing—with each new challenge laying the foundation for the eclectic blend of skills I employ today as a freelance designer.
This was the first render I created that was based entirely on my own original idea, heavily inspired by the Half-Life 2 mod Neotokyo. It also marked my first
foray into using professional tools like Cinema4D and Photoshop CS3 to render and touch-up the scene. "Fingerprint." Created May 2010.
